Verdante, the Emerald Watcher

Ancient green dragons are plentiful in the world of Arcania and are powerful magical conduits. They are noxious firebreathers living in both forested lands and plains. Green dragons are legendary foes of emerald jewel hunters and any who threaten forests.

Verdante became the reluctant protector of Northmarch under the reign of King Mothar Vangard until the king lost his life in the “Last Battle”. Unable to support the rule of widowed Hessila for reasons unknown, Verdante withdrew to the elven lands of Westmarch with many of his kind. Recently, they have only been observed in the sky high overhead.
