The Nest housed the most powerful artifact in the universe — The Crown of the Cosmos. Saturion had ended empires for whispers of it. Now, he could feel it below, inside the dragon’s flesh. He sauntered through the burning village, hands behind his back.
The moment of his ascension to godhood was near at hand. He would savor the sights, the smells. It tasted like smoke. He returned to the spot where the village elder had pointed. His discarded clothes marked it well; Saturion hated digesting the clothes. Saturion smiled with blood-soaked teeth. His jaw unhinged and grew large as he bit into the dragon’s hide.
