Saturion Ascendant #8

Rodinion slumbered as Saturion slaughtered its people, but as he ate his way inside Rodinion’s flesh, he woke. Rodinion’s continent-sized body hid many defenses. He could restructure himself, control every vine-like vein. He turned them all on the black mage.

Vines chased Saturion as he flew through the endless caverns beneath the dragon’s flesh. Saturion felt the pull of the Crown of the Cosmos inside its box, the Nest; Rodinion’s heart. The vines snagged at him as lava erupted from the cavern walls inside Rodinion’s body. For the first time in centuries, Saturion felt fear. Lava immolated him whole.
